Neville Jordan Memorial Ride

Neville Jordan joined the Logan City Amateur Cycling Club in 2005, after many years away from the sport.  Neville started competitive bike riding in the mid 1960’s and rose through the ranks to claim junior national titles.

Neville formed many friendships in the short time he was a member of the LCACC, and always enjoyed the training rides.  He competed in Masters events in the local competitions around South East Queensland.

Sadly, Neville passed away on November 1, 2007.

In memory of Neville’s love of the bike, LCACC have an annual memorial ride.  All riders are welcome.

The 'Tough Guys' Early Saturday Ride

Anyone looking for a harder ride on a Saturday morning would enjoy this ride. We set off from Sonic Cycles at 5.30am sharp every Saturday. After a few km's we form a rolling paceline then slowly wind up the pace via Rochedale rd, Chandler, Carindale, Mt Gravatt, Mt Gravatt lookout (if you are really keen!), then back along Logan Rd to meet the Coffee Ride at 7am.  Anyone hoping to race open events should try the early ride, there are a few hill sprints along the way to make it more interesting

NOTE NEW VENUE start / finish venue for both the Saturday rides. The 5.30 and 7.00 rides now leave from Sonic Cycles, 3441 Service Rd, Springwood. Access via Watland Street roundabout (the Slacks Creek side of the highway) There is a map showing the exact location on www.soniccycles.com.au.
